The main areas of the test

Washability and abrasion

Resistance to rubbing wet, cleanability and abrasion resistance of the coating to be applied.

Adhesion and mechanical resistance

Adherence to the grid and tensile, hardness of the film, elasticity and impact resistance.

Water permeability

Water vapor transmission, water absorption liquid, the permeability of the CO₂ and water repellency.

Durability and aging

Accelerated aging, UV, thermal cycles, and chemical resistance.

Color and appearance

Colorimetric measurements and evaluations of gloss, haze and yellowing of the film.

Chemical analysis and instrumental

Characterization by FT-IR, HPLC, GC-MS, X-ray diffraction and porosimetria, depending on the question and the analytical.

The list of services also includes the density, viscosity, fineness of grinding, the thickness of the film and VOC content. Some of the tests, including those related to moulds and certain corrosion test, are indicated by the GFC as performed by subcontract.
