The evaluation and assignment of the ratings are made by EcoVadis in an independent way.<\/p><h2>What currency EcoVadis<\/h2><p>EcoVadis analyzes the quality management system of corporate sustainability through <strong>policies, actions and results<\/strong>. The questionnaire is customized according to activity, size and location of the firm; the relevant criteria are selected within the four themes.<\/p><div class=\"grid\"><section class=\"card\"><h3>Environment<\/h3><p>Management of energy, emissions, water, materials, chemicals and waste, in accordance with the criteria applicable to the company.<\/p><\/section><section class=\"card\"><h3>Labor and human rights<\/h3><p>Health and safety, working conditions, training and protection of the rights of the people.<\/p><\/section><section class=\"card\"><h3>Ethics<\/h3><p>Business conduct, prevention of the unlawful conduct and the responsible management of information.<\/p><\/section><section class=\"card\"><h3>Sustainable procurement<\/h3><p>Integration of environmental and social aspects in the selection and management of suppliers.<\/p><\/section><\/div><h2>Who is useful to the service<\/h2><ul><li>Companies that have received an invitation EcoVadis by a customer or a capofiliera.<\/li><li>Companies that deal with the first assessment, and must understand what the data and evidence to collect.<\/li><li>Companies that are already accounted for who want to read the scorecard and plan next actions.<\/li><li>SMES that intend to structure a sustainability management system that is consistent with their activities.<\/li><\/ul><h2>The path to Safety Colors, in six steps<\/h2><ol><li><strong>Definition of the perimeter.<\/strong> We examine the corporate entity, sites, industry size, demand of the client and available maturity. We identify the internal person and the offices to be involved.<\/li><li><strong>Analysis of the initial state.<\/strong> We compare existing practices, the questionnaire available and any scorecard. Prepare a map of the evidence and of the information is missing.<\/li><li><strong>Collection and organization of documents.<\/strong> We verify the relevance, dates, coverage, and consistency of the evidence. Each document remains attributable to the company and to the activities actually carried on.<\/li><li><strong>Support to the questionnaire.<\/strong> Assist the referees in the reading of the questions, the association of the evidence and in the consistency check. The company verifies and approves the answers and the sharing settings before posting.<\/li><li><strong>Reading of the results.<\/strong> After the evaluation EcoVadis, we analyze the company's strengths and areas of improvement identified by the scorecard.<\/li><li><strong>Improvement plan.<\/strong> Set priorities, responsible, times, and indicators, and we concur periodic checks and preparation for the next revaluation.<\/li><\/ol><div class=\"note\"><strong>Actual evidence and practice.<\/strong><p>The work starts from the documents and processes, the actual of the company. The prior and the times are defined after the examination of the perimeter, sites involved, the maturity of the system, the available documents and the expiration of the questionnaire. Any subscription EcoVadis is separate from the compensation consulting Safety Colors.<\/p><h2>What documents can we go?<\/h2><p>Depending on the themes enabled, they can be useful company policies and procedures, code of ethics, training records, environmental indicators and health and safety, criteria for evaluation of suppliers, relevant certifications, and reports have already been used in the management. For the chemical and paints, we also consider the processes for the management of chemicals and waste, when relevant: the mere availability of the SDS does not describe the entire system of sustainability.<\/p><h2>Frequently asked questions<\/h2><details><summary>It is a certification of the product?<\/summary><p>The rating EcoVadis regards the system of management of the sustainability of the entity being evaluated. It is not an environmental certification of a single product and not a substitute for regulatory audits or certifications.<\/p><\/details><details><summary>It is possible to guarantee a medal, or a score?<\/summary><p>The service aims to improve the quality of processes and the evidence. The score and the eventual recognition depend on the independent evaluation EcoVadis; are not guaranteed by the advice.<\/p><\/details><details><summary>You can also without a previous evaluation?<\/summary><p>Yes. The initial analysis is needed to clarify the needs, the available documents and the priority activities. When the questionnaire is available, the work is adapted to the criteria actually activated.<\/p><\/details><details><summary>Who should be involved in the company?<\/summary><p>A point of contact, coordinating the project with direction and, according to the perimeter, environment and safety, human resources, purchasing and the administration.
